Position:

Part-time ABLE Instructional Assistant
Summary: Instructional Assistants support the ABLE
program by
assisting other instructional staff members
in delivering
basic academic and GED lessons in the ABLE
classroom to
adult learners. The successful candidate will
work well in
a team oriented atmosphere, be detail oriented,
and have
the ability to effectively tutor individuals in basic
academic
and GED subjects at a wide range of functioning levels.                                                                

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to obtain an Educational Aide Certificate

All classes & services offered under the ABLE program are FREE.

....Prepare for the Work Keys pre-entrance examination for post-secondary programs (Practical Nursing, Pharm Tech, MSSC).

 

....Obtain reading, writing, and arithmetic skills needed to get or keep a job.

 

....Prepare for post-secondary courses and admissions testing.

 

....Prepare for pre-employment testing.

 

....Take the Official GED Practice Test.

 

....Acquire basic academic skills to help your children with their homework.

 

....Improve your Work Keys scores and Career Readiness Credential.

GED Test is $40 - paid to State GED Office.
