Two Start Dates:  January (Daytime) and July (Evening)
Successful completion of this 11-month full-time program meets the Ohio Board of Nursing requirements for eligibility for NCLEX-PN testing and licensure. Students interested in the Practical Nursing program are encouraged to begin the pre-entrance testing and application process early. Some classes have considerable on-line content.  Access to a computer and high-speed internet is required.
Pre-entrance examination is required to obtain an admissions packet to enter the program in January, 2013.  

Admissions Process
1. Pass pre-entrance test (scores are valid for three years).
2. Obtain & complete admissions packet.
3. Return completed packet to the Adult Education Office prior to 
   October 19, 2012. 
 
Pre-Entrace Examination (WorkKeys Test)
MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED TO TAKE THIS TEST.
Students must pass all sections of the pre-entrance test (this test is called WorkKeys) to receive an admissions packet for the Practical Nursing program. $15 per section - $45 for all three.
There are three sections: Reading for Information, Applied Mathematics, and Locating Information.
Minimum Required Scores for Practical Nursing 
Reading:   Level 5
Applied Math:   Level 5
Locating Info:   Level 4

Nov. 6, 2012          Dec. 4, 2012        
Tests begin promptly at 5:00pm in the Main Building.

Every Friday at 9am 
 
WorkKeys Prep Class
Work Keys' Key Train instructional software and classroom instruction are available through the ABLE program to help students prepare or improve their Work Keys scores. Classes start every Monday at 8:00am and are free.

The Pike County CTC accepts the following types of financial aid:

   Federal Pell Grant

   Federal Student Loans (subsidized and unsubsidized)

   Community Agency Grants: WIA, TAA, BVR, and JFS

   Veterans may be eligible for approved programs.

   Certain scholarships may be used.

   Tuition Payment Plans are available for some programs.
