Director's Message

A Message From Your Director

As Director of the Pike County Career Technology Center, I would like to take this time to thank the parents of our students for allowing us the opportunity to educate their most precious possession. At Pike County CTC, our mission is to provide all students with the knowledge and vocational skills to prepare them to be successful in the world of work as well as to prepare them to have a successful experience as they attend college or other post secondary institutions. We also believe that dedication to the workplace and love of the community is imperative and is strongly supported by our faculty and administration.

Pike County CTC offers a wide range of vocational programs designed to meet the needs of our area and the ever changing demands of the workplace. Our students are exposed to a challenging and rigorous curriculum of academic subjects, the practical application of knowledge received from our vocational programs, and a high-level of problem solving skills needed in today’s workplace. Our highly skilled instructors are trained to detect the needs of each student and to develop instructional strategies to help the student to attain their full potential.

Pike County CTC expects that all of the attending students maintain a high level of conduct that is synonymous with the standards demanded by business and industry as well as those responsible actions accepted by society. When a student is not able to conform to these expectations, the consequences are well defined and enforced.

Pike County CTC is proud of its rich history of effective partnerships with parents and the community. Parent involvement is essential for successful learning. The phrase “It takes a village to raise a child” is no more evident than at Pike County CTC.  This team concept has been the preface on which we base our student successes. We are more than happy to assist with the needs of various nonprofit institutions through the use of our student’s vocational skills. Everyone benefits from the opportunity to interact with our community.

The embracing and instilling of these vocational beliefs as well as the steadfast commitment of providing innovative educational strategies is what we believe will help all students reach their highest potential and life-long goals.
